Facilitation of Patients’ Exit Division
Some of its tasks are to:
  • Provide accurate information with respect to both clinical capacity and operational capacity of the hospital.
  • Ensure the application of regulations and systems controlling the eligibility of treatment, in accordance with the Ministry’s decrees and circulars, by reviewing lists of non-Saudi inpatients.
  • Provide accurate information regarding bed occupancy rates in the hospital and its different sections, by using the E-Program.
  • Ensure the availability of full information about time and date of every patient's entry into the hospital, as well as his exit plan after treatment.
  • Follow up the implementation of the patient's exit plan, enumerate the obstacles of work, and reasons for delay, and report them immediately to the Director of Inpatient Medical Care if necessary.
  • Cooperate with Director of Inpatient Medical Services concerning the entry of emergency cases and those which need instant treatment and ready-to-use beds, during or after their work, in coordination with the Patients' Exit team.
  • Participate in the meetings meant to discuss the condition of some patients who have been staying at the hospital for long.
  • Obtain information on the inpatient's duration of stay at the hospital, with all its divisions, through the E-Program, and submit it to the Director of Inpatient Medical Care, in order to take the necessary action and compare it with the standards internationally approved for the treatment of such cases (after the introduction of this service in the E-Program).
  • Prepare a daily list of non-Saudi inpatients receiving treatment at the hospital, and submit it to the Director of Inpatient Medical Care.
  • Obtain - from the Nursing Department - a list of the beds reserved for patients who are keen to get out of the hospital for a certain number hours, and submit it to the Director of Inpatient Medical Care to take the necessary action if need be.
