Objectives
  • Offering good medical services for patients:
    • Providing the chance for the patient in need of referral to get an integrated, fast and proper medical service that contributes to limiting complications as well as easing the suffering of the patient physically, psychologically and economically.
  • Optimal use of resources:
    • Raising the efficiency of services through the optimal use of the available resources without using them excessively in non-intended purposes and therefore maximizing their economic return.
  • Raising medical service standards:
    • Continuous monitoring of the reasons for referral at all levels of the primary health care up to the most specialized levels and facilitating development of effective initiatives to raise the medical service standards; that is to be added to keeping resources at the medical services levels based on the required specialized needs.
