The Humanitarian Gesture of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Leads a Cameroonian Village to Islam
08 November 2011
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, for hosting a Cameroonian delegation (Babenki Village) as Hajj guests at his expense. He said, “It was the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, who directed to perform the separation surgery for the Cameroonian Siamese twins, which is reckoned a very impressive humanitarian gesture, derived from our Magnanimous Shai'a, and which had the greatest influence in the islamization of  the twins' parents, family, and the whole village thereafter. The impact of the King's humanitarianism went far beyond that, as the Sultan Omar, the governor of the village, converted to Islam himself last year, and has been supporting Muslims there ever since, due to his high rank in Cameroon.”

On receiving a delegation of Babenki's pilgrims at his office in Mena Emergency Hospital, Dr. Al-Rabeeah said, “The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques had directed to establish an integrated Islamic center in the village, including a two-story mosque, accommodating over 4.000 prayers, a health center, and two schools (one for boys and the other for girls). This year has witnessed the completion of this project.”
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabeeah welcomed the King's guests, and extended to them his congratulations on the performance of Hajj. Meanwhile, he wished their pilgrimage to be accepted and their sins to be redeemed.

For his part, Sheikh Saleh Fantim, an Islamic preacher in the village, said, “It was not a mere separation between two bodies, but rather a separation between darkness and light, and a paradigm shift from stray to Divine Guidance, making crystal clear to all of us how errant we had been, how tolerant Islam is, and how true Muslims we should be. Consequently, many people from the neighboring villages are now inclined to enter Allah's religion (Islam) in crowds, and aspire to be subjects to Babenki Sultan, the tolerance Islam which is especially evident in our gatherings following the Friday midday prayer (Al-Jomu'ah), as well as in Ramadan and Eid Al-Adha. Being saturated with the spirit of Islam ourselves, our tolerance has become exemplary in whole region”.

The Sheikh went on to say, “On my own behalf, and on behalf of all the inhabitants of the village, I would like to thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his gracious support for Cameroon, as manifested in the establishment of the Islamic Center, and pray for Allah to confer health and well-being upon him, and to make of him the guardian of Muslims everywhere.”

It is worth mentioning that His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, under the directions of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, had performed a separation surgery to Siamese (conjoined) twins from this village, in response to the distress call made through the Internet. King Abdullah, May Allah protect him, was the first to respond, and gave his orders at once to bring twins into the Kingdom to undergo the separation surgery at his own expense. After 16 hours in the operating room, the medical team, headed by Dr. Al-Rabeeah, managed to separate between the two (female) infants: Vinome and Shivoio. In response of all such tolerance showed by Muslims, the parents made up their minds to convert to Islam. The father called himself (Abdullah), whereas his wife chose (A'aeshah) as a name for herself. Many people in the village pursued their path thereafter.
