In a survey of pilgrims on the health services available for them during Hajj, all of them applauded these services, made available for them by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, represented by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with the aim to serve the 'guests of Allah. They made clear that the health healthcare they receive during the Hajj season is better than the healthcare available in their countries. The Kingdom is keen to provide these serviced free of charge, and as fast as possible, no matter what the patient's condition is. Also, healthcare is always available wherever pilgrims are, so that health facilities would be always near to them.
During receiving treatment at the Emergency Section of Mina Emergency Hospital, Haj Mustafa Abdulqader, 38, that the health services provided for pilgrims, especially the health services, reflect in the first place the keen interest shown by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, in providing health services, and its endless and limitless support for these services.
Haj Mustafa had been suffering from fatigue, leading up to fainting, before he received the proper treatment, and it is expected that he will leave the Hospital pretty soon. Meanwhile, he extended his thanks and gratitude to the MOH staff for the colossal efforts they exert for the sake of pilgrims.
Another pilgrim, Haj Na'eem Ba-Bakr Abdullah, 48, who received the appropriate curative service at Mina Emergency Hospital, described the level of the healthcare provided at the hospital as “excellent”. He underwent the necessary medical examinations, and received the proper medication. He added, the hospital staff welcome patients and provide services with impressive ease. He revealed that his treatment took as short a period as few minutes, after which he left the hospital commending the system followed by the hospital in receiving and treating patients.
Likewise, Haj Najah Mahmoud Mustafa, a teacher, 42, has expressed his admiration for the medical services he has seen received since his arrival into the Saudi land, when he was ascertained to have had the necessary vaccinations. These services continued through the various health facilities spread out in all the Hajj places in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Places. He was given the proper medication for free, without any problems or hardships.
In the same vein, Haj Azem Shehatah, a sales representative at a national company, said that the integrated medical serviced provided for pilgrims leaves no room for doubt that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He affirmed that all the health facilities spread out here and there in the Hajj sites are the natural fruit of the impressively sincere efforts exerted for the sake of pilgrims and their comfort. Pilgrims, he added, pray for Allahto protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and help his Government undertake such a grand humanitarian responsibility in such a glorious Islamic event.
For his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Sa'd Al-Rabee', working at Mina Emergency Hospital, has emphasized that all the entire hospital staff seek to retain the pilgrims' health and safety. He added, in this respect, that the governors, May Allah protect them, have equipped all the Holy Places' hospitals with all the necessary medications and the state-of-the-art medical appliances, in addition to the highly qualified and well-trained manpower, with a view to provide the best health services for pilgrims. He said the emergency section is at the top of the hospital's ready sections. It received over 50 cases in the course of 8/12/1432H (4/11/2011), some of whom have been referred to the various inpatient sections to receive the appropriate curative services. He added that the emergency section is working in full swing in this Hajj season, as it is equipped with respirators, intensive care devices and diagnosis devices, all run by highly qualified staff.
In the same context, Dr. Youssef Al-Shamlan, an ophthalmologist, said, “I have received many cases suffering from some eye-disease. All these cases were treated and given the necessary medications before they have left the hospital at once.” Dr. A-Shamlan pointed out that one of the cases was a patient suffering from the pain accompanying eye-redness. Medical examinations showed that sand particles got into the eye, before they have been successfully removed. The hospital is fully prepared for handling any cases and all the necessary medications are abundantly available, he affirmed.
Besides, Dr. Ali Kabli mentioned that in the course of the Day of Tarwiah (8/12/1432H), several cases have been received, suffering from high blood-pressure, diabetes, or heart attacks. All such cases have been handled at once, and some of them, especially patients with heart attacks, have been referred to the intensive care section. He pointed out that some of the cases who frequented the hospital were suffering from fractures and asthma, as well as the inflammations resulting from fatigue.
Meanwhile, Dr. Manar Al-Khatib has stressed that numerous cases have been medically handled among pilgrims. Simple cases have been treated at once, whereas more critical cases have been referred to observation rooms. She pointed out that she, as well as the entire medical team, work around the clock in pursuit of providing the best medical services for the 'guests of Allah. She remarked that the peak time is expected to be during the upcoming three days. She prayed for Allah to help her and the whole work team to provide the proper service for pilgrims.
Dr. Maram Hemeid, for her part, was quoted as saying, “We have been devoting ourselves for serving the pilgrims during the Hajj season.” She further stressed that the massive potential and capabilities offered by the Government, represented by the Ministry of Health, has enabled workers in the field of health to provide the best, highest and fullest health services for the 'guests of Allah.
