The Saudi Ministry of Health has announced the results of the “HealthThon 3” initiative, held in May in the city of Madinah, aimed at fostering innovation in healthcare solutions provided to pilgrims and strengthening collaboration across sectors. The initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to support digital transformation and enhance the quality of healthcare services, in alignment with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which aspires to build a vibrant society with sustainable health.
The Ministry highlighted strong engagement from participants, noting that voting results and user feedback were analyzed to identify key priorities for future projects. These include the development of new digital services, enhancing user experience, improving communication, and increasing the efficiency of digital prevention.
Organized in partnership with Taibah University and its investment and innovation vehicle, Taibah Valley, the challenge reflects the Ministry’s commitment to delivering integrated and innovative health services to pilgrims. It also underscores the Kingdom’s global leadership in managing large-scale public health operations, particularly during the Hajj season.
