The Ministry of Health, represented by the Environmental Health General Department, has issued the annual report on foodborne disease outbreaks-2018. The report highlights the foodborne disease outbreak, which is one of the most important challenges facing the Ministry, out of its role to prevent food poisoning cases in the Kingdom. Foodborne disease outbreaks from public and private hospitals are reported to food safety coordinators in the regions or their representatives, and then to the Food Safety Department of the Environmental Health General Department within 24 hours of the infected cases detection.
