This initiative comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop virtual healthcare services and enhance the effective use of modern technologies, contributing to improved quality and accessibility of health services. It aligns with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to build a “Vibrant Society” where individuals enjoy comprehensive healthcare and innovative digital services that enhance their quality of life.
The Ministry revealed that the consultation results highlighted the importance of expanding the use of digital health services in high-demand and critical specialties, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology, respiratory diseases, and liver and gastrointestinal conditions. This reflects the Ministry’s strategy for continuous improvement in remote healthcare delivery and broader access to digital medical consultations, positively impacting service quality and beneficiary satisfaction.
