World Mental Health Day

Overview 
Mental health is an important and integral part of public health, and health is not complete without mental health. It includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being that affects the way we think, feel, act, and relate to others. It also helps to determine how to deal with stress and stress, and to make the right decisions. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and old age. World Mental Health Day is celebrated on October 10 every year, with the aim of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world, and dedicating efforts to support mental health.
 
Facts:
  • Mental health problems are one of the main reasons for the increase in the overall disease burden worldwide.
  • Mental and behavioral health problems such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse are reported to be the main drivers of disability worldwide, causing more than 40 million years of disability between the ages of 20 and 29.
  • Practicing physical activity and relaxation exercises, avoiding stress, accompanying positive people, and seeking help when needed, enhances mental health, and raises the quality of life.

  • Raising awareness of mental health problems around the world.
  • Devoting and activating efforts to support mental health and reduce societal stigma.
  • Providing comprehensive and integrated mental health and social care services in community settings.
  • Paying more attention to health issues and psychological problems.
  • Provide appropriate solutions for self-treatment of anxiety for individuals or for a family member.
