Introduction:
The World Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Day will be observed this year on May 30th under the theme: «My Invisible MS» to raise public awareness about MS symptoms, which may be invisible to people and felt only by the patient.
Facts:
- 2.3 million people live with MS globally.
- MS is at least two to three times more common in women than in men.
- MS is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).
- MS symptoms may differ greatly from person to another. The most common symptoms are fatigue, poor vision, and walking problems.
