Is it possible to get infected by coming into contact with camels or consuming camel products?
 
Following the medical conference on Tuesday 29th April, local and international experts agreed that the public should avoid:
 
  • Eating raw camel meat (including liver) and unpasteurized camel milk.
  • Coming into contact with sick camels.
 
However, cooked meat and boiled or pasteurized milk are still ok to consume.
