Kidney Stones:
The affected person needs to drink large amounts of fluids, because exposure to dehydration may cause many infections, so the following is recommended during the day in Ramadan:
- Stay in cool places as much as possible.
- Drink large amounts of fluids at night.
- Consult a nutritionist to know the type of diet suitable for the fasting period.
kidney failure and dialysis:
Each patient has his own situation, which is decided by the doctor, but it can be said that:
- Some cases of mild weakness are not affected by fasting.
- Cases of severe weakness may not be able to fast.
- Dialysis patients can fast on days other than dialysis.
Urinary tract infection:
The patient will be able to fast after consulting a doctor, and he should increase his fluid intake.
Kidney transplant:
The kidney transplant patient can fast after his condition stabilizes, usually within a year after the transplant.
Renal colic:
Renal colic is not affected by fasting, but by temperature, i.e. it increases in summer and decreases in winter.
What causes urinary stones to form during fasting? What is the treatment?
This happens because of not drinking enough water and fluids, especially in hot weather, which leads to the formation of urinary stones that cause annoying symptoms, such as: pain, blood in the urine, burning urination, and the treatment is to drink plenty of fluids and water.
