Headache:
Headache is one of the common health problems that occur during Ramadan, and it has many causes, the most famous of which are:- Quitting caffeine and smoking suddenly.
- Low blood sugar levels.
- Dehydration due to lack of fluid intake.
- Changing sleep times and not getting enough rest.
To avoid headache during Ramadan:
- Gradually reduce daily consumption of caffeine and nicotine, before Ramadan.
- Make sure to eat Suhoor meal and delay it as much as possible, to avoid low blood sugar.
- Drink fluids, especially water (at least 10 cups), and distribute them between Iftar and Suhoor.
- Follow a well-balanced diet.
- Get enough sleep.
- Avoid mental and physical stress.
What causes headaches during fasting and how can they be alleviated?
It results from suddenly stopping stimulant drinks and smoking during the month of Ramadan. This problem can be overcome by reducing the consumption of stimulants such as coffee and tea, and smoking during the few weeks preceding fasting.
