What are the services provided to children in primary healthcare centers?

A number of preventive and curative services are provided to children from birth until the age of (5) years in well-baby clinics at primary healthcare centers, such as vision assessment for early detection of eye diseases, and hearing assessment for early detection of hearing impairment or any disorder that affect hearing of the child. Anthropometric measurements are also taken to follow up the child's growth (weight - height - head circumference), as well as monitoring of developmental milestones by special tools to assess development of: fine and gross motor skills, child cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, language and speech.  Family health education services are also provided to protect children from common health problems.
