The Assistant Agency for the Preventive Health involves the following departments: 
 
  • Health Facilities' Infection Control General Department:
It aims to control the health facilities' infection by setting the mechanisms of following up applying the infection control programs, centrally sterilizing the health facilities, and facing the epidemic outbreaks in the health facilities, and coordinating with the relevant departments to guarantee implementing the terms and requirements of controlling the infection in the health facilities.

  • Communicable Diseases Control General Department: 
The Communicable Diseases Control General Department aims at embracing plans and strategies meant for preventing picking up the parasitic and communicable​ diseases and limiting what their spread may trigger as well as their implications in the short, medium, and long term.

  • Environmental and Occupational Health General Department:  

The Environmental and Professional Health General Department aims to apply a host of meaningful and effective programs for maintaining the individuals'' and community health and preventing them from developing the disease and realizing the sustainable development in the Kingdom of Said Arabia.

  • Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP)​: 
The Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) was launched in response to the MOH's need to qualifying the health cadres in the  different preventive medicine sections  through training them on the epidemic detection and controlfield and upgrading the preventive programs. 
 
  • Surveillance and Data Management Unit

The Surveillance and Data Management Unit aims at evaluating the current public health surveillance and formulating the recommendation for improving the quality, efficiency, and usefulness of the surveillance system.
