April 7 of each year is marked by the World Health Organization (WHO) to focus on specific health issue to raise awareness and encourage world countries and organizations to focus their attention on the issue. This year World Health Day, we honor the contribution of nurses and midwives, recognizing their vital role in keeping the world healthy. Nurses and other health workers are at the frontlines of COVID-19 response, putting their own health at risk. Quite simply, without nurses, there would be no response.
