Heat Stress

It is the depletion of liquids and salts from the body following profuse sweating and not drinking enough water and juices.
To avoid Heat Stress:
  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun.
  • Avoid heat and crowds.
  • Make sure to drink fluids (water and juices containing the necessary salts).
  • Make sure to rest.
  • Make sure to wear light-colored clothes (for women).
  • Make sure to use light colored umbrellas.
Areas with a high number of heat injuries:
  • Tawaf, especially at noon.
  • Between the two small hills of Safa and Marwa, especially when it is very crowded and the air temperature is high.
  • Mount of Arafat at noon.
  • The valley of Mina (places of slaughter and the Jamarat), due to the long distance and crowding when throwing the Jamarat.​
