The Hajj season is full of situations and events, in which a large number of people gather in a very short period and live in adjoining or adjacent tents and move between the rituals at close times, and on top of that they come from multiple countries and speak different languages and have different degrees of education, so the Hajj season may be vulnerable to many accidents and health problems, the most important of which are the following:
Some tips that can mitigate or reduce fires:
- Avoid lighting fires inside the tents, and commit to using the places designated for cooking and preparing food.
- Cigarette butts should be thrown in the designated places, and the pilgrim should avoid smoking.
- The pilgrim must familiarize himself with emergency exits in his places of residence for use when necessary.
- Avoid storing flammable and explosive materials inside tents and places of residence for pilgrims (e.g.: gas cylinders).
- Ensure that the electric current is disconnected when leaving the place of residence or tent.
- Reduce the abundance of electrical connections and not overload them.
Safety tips in the event of a fire:
- Ensure that exits are open and safe for exit.
- Go directly to the exits and evacuate the place in an orderly manner without crowding or jostling.
- When heavy smoke rises, crawl on the ground to avoid inhaling it.
- Be calm and follow the directions of the guides for a safe exit.
2. Car accidents:
Some important tips that the pilgrim or the car driver should adhere to:
- Beware of haste and reckless driving, and constantly pay attention to pedestrians in the middle of the street.
- Avoid riding on the roofs of cars and buses, especially when traveling from Arafat to Muzdalifah.
- If the pilgrim walks on foot, he must move away from the road of cars.
3.Bruises and fractures:
- It is not permissible for the pilgrim to set up the tent above the mountains and heights, and he must avoid climbing rocks and mountains as well, because that endangers his life.
- The pilgrim should avoid crowds and stampedes, as they are among the most common causes of injuries and bruises during Hajj.
- Choose appropriate times to move and perform rituals, and make sure to benefit from legal licenses when their conditions are met.
- The pilgrim must avoid sleeping on sidewalks and roads, and sleeping under cars and vehicles.
- The pilgrim should raise his umbrella in crowded places, so as not to harm others.
- We must show kindness to the weak, including the sick, the elderly, and women.
