It occurs when the amount of water the body gets is less than the amount lost through vomiting, diarrhea, exhalation, perspiration or urination.
Causes:
Fever - Diarrhea - Vomiting - Excessive sweating - Excessive urination as in diabetic patients.
Symptoms:
Excessive thirst.
Nausea and vomiting.
Heart palpitations.
Feeling tired.
Dark yellow urine.
Dry mouth, lips and eyes.
Not urinating for long periods of time.
Avoiding dehydration while performing Hajj rituals:
Keep drinking enough water daily.
Eat foods rich in water, such as fruits and vegetables.
Dehydration treatment is according to the situation:
It is recommended to see a doctor when symptoms start.
Drinking replacement fluids or taking them intravenously in severe cases.
In cases of diarrhea, if it is caused by a bacterial infection, the doctor may recommend antibiotics.
Your doctor may recommend anti-emetics.
If the temperature rises, the doctor may prescribe medications that reduce the temperature.
