- An asthma patient should visit his doctor to follow up his health condition and review his treatment plan before going for Hajj.
- The patient is recommended to carry a bracelet around the wrist indicating his name, age, diagnosis of the disease and the type of treatment.
- Overcrowding may cause a severe asthma attack, so it is preferable to perform the rituals at the least crowded times in order to avoid the occurrence of attacks.
- The asthma patient should always carry the emergency nebulizer with him while performing the rituals to use it when needed.
- Before performing any physical effort, it is recommended to use a bronchodilator after consulting a doctor, especially during Tawaf, walking between the Safa and Marwa and stoning the Jamarat.
- When the patient feels any symptoms of an asthma attack, such as (coughing or frequent coughing, wheezing, difficulty or shortness of breath, pain in the chest, sleep disturbance due to shortness of breath), he should visit the nearest health care point.
