    The United Nations General Assembly declared 21 March as the World Down Syndrome Day, with effect from 2012, and invited all member states, relevant organizations of the United Nations and other international organizations, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and the private sector, to observe the World Down Syndrome Day in an appropriate manner

    World Tuberculosis (TB) Day 2015

    This annual event is marked on March 24th of every year to commemorate Dr. Robert Koch's discovery, in 1882, for tubercle bacillus causing tuberculosis, which was the first step towards diagnosing the disease and its treatment. Of the 9 million people who get sick with TB a year, a third of them do not receive the needed anti-TB services. Many of these 3 million people live in the world’s poorest population
