Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, inspected the readiness of the health system dedicated to serving pilgrims during the 1447H Hajj season as part of his field visits to ensure healthcare services are fully prepared and delivered with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The efforts support the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under
Saudi Vision 2030, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals in good health and peace of mind.
Several entities across the health system participated in the showcase. The National Unified Procurement Company
(NUPCO) presented a range of advanced innovations and technologies, including drones for rapid medical supply delivery. The
Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) showcased its inspection vehicles equipped with sample storage refrigerators, body cameras, and other advanced technologies. Meanwhile,
Health Holding Company demonstrated advanced digital systems for ambulance fleet management and medical triage, including electric emergency bikes designed to accelerate the movement of medical teams.
The showcase also highlighted the
Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s operational plan for this year’s Hajj season, featuring a fleet of more than 3,000 emergency response vehicles, including rapid response units, electric golf carts, motorcycles, bicycles, emergency scooters, and 11 air ambulances supporting critical emergency cases.
Among the featured technologies were air-conditioned electric golf carts designed to respond to emergencies in crowded areas and pedestrian routes, as well as the “Rofaidah” electric emergency chairs, which enable rapid access to patients in high-density areas and facilitate immediate emergency care.
The visit was part of the Minister’s field tours to monitor healthcare operations and ensure the health system remains fully prepared to provide high-quality services, enabling pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals safely and with peace of mind.
