Over 655,000 Healthcare Services for Pilgrims by Dhul-Hijjah 5

The health system has delivered more than 655,983 healthcare services to pilgrims since the start of the 1447H Hajj season through the fifth day of Dhul-Hijjah, as part of integrated efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services, safeguard pilgrims’ health, and support the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030​, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 36,159 beneficiaries received services through primary healthcare centers and urgent care centers. Emergency departments handled 24,481 cases, while 3,250 beneficiaries visited outpatient clinics. In addition, 3,328 patients were admitted to hospitals. A total of 240 surgical procedures were performed, including 167 cardiac catheterization procedures and 9 open-heart surgeries.
Medical teams also responded efficiently to 15 cases of heat exhaustion through a field-based healthcare system designed to ensure rapid response and effective medical intervention across various locations. These efforts were supported by more than 289,700 preventive services that contributed to protecting pilgrims’ health. Meanwhile, the Unified Contact Center (937) received more than 13,615 calls.
The health system continues to operate with high efficiency through proactive planning and an integrated, high-quality healthcare network, ensuring advanced and safe medical care for pilgrims while reaffirming its commitment to providing the highest standards of healthcare throughout the Hajj season.
