His Excellency Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, Minister of Health, visited the Madinah Region today to inspect the readiness of healthcare services ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. The visit comes as part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services and improve access to care, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under
Saudi Vision 2030 to build a highly efficient and well-prepared healthcare system.
Following a meeting with the Regional Supervisory and Coordination Committee for Hajj and Umrah within the health sector, the Minister toured a number of key healthcare facilities and primary healthcare centers in the Central Area to review the readiness of services provided to visitors and residents.
During the visit, H.E. AlJalajel reviewed ongoing operations and inspected several projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. These included upgrades to operating rooms, the rehabilitation, expansion, and modernization of outpatient departments, as well as improvements to nursery services, all of which contribute to improving healthcare quality and the patient experience.
The Minister also reviewed the development of several specialized departments, including the introduction of critical care services, the enhancement of emergency services, and improvements to operational support facilities as part of the health sector’s efforts to expand capacity and improve operational performance.
The Madinah health sector continues to provide services through more than 198 healthcare facilities, serving over 2.1 million people within an integrated healthcare system focused on improving quality of care, enhancing patient safety, and achieving the highest standards of operational performance and efficiency.
These field visits reflect the Ministry’s continued efforts to strengthen healthcare readiness during seasonal peaks, ensure uninterrupted high-quality healthcare services, and provide integrated care throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
