National Reference for Diabetics
   The Assistant Agency for Preventive Medicine (Non-Communicable Diseases General Department) has recently issued a book entitled: (National Reference for Diabetics). The book is centered on diabetes; regarded since ancient times as one of the killer diseases. The book begins with the Minister of Health's Message, followed by an overview of diabetes and the role of education and training in treating it. In addition, the book includes educational information about diabetes, its types, types of treatment, serious complications, gestational diabetes, diabetic eye, atherosclerosis, sexual problems, and some diabetes-associated gastric problems. Moreover, the book offers tips for diabetics while traveling, fasting guidelines, as well as Hajj preparations. The book also discusses the school life of children with diabetes.
