An overwhelming joy fills the country, commemorating the eighty-third
National Day of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On this
occasion, we wish to express our affection for this country, declare allegiance
to its leadership, and express happiness over the graces of security and the
social, and economical welfare, which have been realized by Allah's blessings,
and the efforts of the leaders of this blessed country and its faithful
citizens.
It is every citizen' right to boast and take pride in what our country
witnesses of developmental achievements covering the entire life aspects. It was
launched by the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman bin Faisal Al-Saud, May
Allah rest his soul in peace. Later, his sons take the helm of the state's march
of building and prosperity, till the prosperous reign of the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, may Allah protect him.
Moreover, the ordinary man of this country got the focal interest in all
the state's developmental and cultural plans and programs, in terms of
education, qualification, and training in all fields, through spreading the
giant university towns, industrial cities; and saving, investment, and housing
funds.
It is worth mentioning that the health sector is among the most prominent
development aspects which the Kingdom witnesses, thanks to Allah's grace and the
support, care, and interest it receives from the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Crown Prince, and His
Royal Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, may Allah protect and support
them.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has played a vital role in providing health
services with the highest global quality levels, fulfilling our governors'
aspirations, may Allah protect them, and meeting the needs of our respectable
citizens in our dear country.
Moreover, the MOH launched its ten-year health strategy plan "1430-1440H".
It aims at laying down the institutional work approach, raising the quality
level, assessing and monitoring performance, recruiting qualified cadres,
developing human resources, along with advancing the e-health and information
systems. That is to be added to the optimal usage of resources and applying the
healthcare economies and their financing sources .
This plan is based on the National Project for Integrated and Comprehensive
Healthcare, which focuses on the principles of measurement, standard, quality
and easy delivery of a service; in order to bring justice and inclusiveness for
the entire Kingdom's regions. It is also built upon the concept of justice,
inclusiveness and global and national standards that guarantee implementation of
such highly-elevated concepts directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Crown Prince, and His Royal
Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, may Allah protect and support them,
to the effect that a citizen's health and care are to be the main concern.
Within the framework of this strategy and the National Project for the
Integrated and Comprehensive Healthcare, the Ministry of Health began to carry
out a number of medical cities in the entire Kingdom's region, which when
finished; will be a true addition to the health services system. Such cities are
to include referral hospitals, specialized research and medical centers
providing health services of the 4th level, with a bed capacity reaching 6200
referral beds. Further, the MOH initiated new qualitative programs; to serve
citizens, improve the MOH's performance, quality, and safety standards,
reconstruct the collective and institutional work approach, and attract
remarkable cadres.
