Minister of Economy and Planning, H.E. Faisal bin Fadel Alibrahim, on behalf of Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the French Ministry of Health and Family, Autonomy and Persons with Disabilities, on the sidelines of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the French Republic.
The MoU aims to strengthen health cooperation between Saudi Arabia and France across several priority areas, including public health and health security; health system governance, quality of care, and patient safety; health emergency preparedness and response; workforce and health capacity development; digital health and artificial intelligence; research, development, innovation, and clinical trials; supply chains and pharmaceutical industries; as well as health investment and partnerships.
The MoU builds on the longstanding relations between the two countries and strengthens the exchange of expertise and development of partnerships. It will contribute to advancing research and innovation, developing future health solutions and technologies, building capacities and investments, enhancing the resilience of health and pharmaceutical supply chains, strengthening health security, and supporting the sustainability of health systems and the quality of their services, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under
Saudi Vision 2030.
