Health Minister Thanks Leadership for Enabling CBAHI’s Global Services

The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the Council of Ministers’ decision to enable the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI​) to provide accreditation services to healthcare facilities outside the Kingdom, in accordance with regulations approved by the Saudi Health Council.

The Minister affirmed that the decision reflects the continued support and attention the healthcare sector receives from the wise leadership, and demonstrates the maturity and advancement of the Kingdom’s quality and patient safety system, as well as the reliability and international competitiveness of its national accreditation standards. This comes amid the enablers provided by Saudi Vision 2030, which have strengthened the Kingdom’s leadership and healthcare presence regionally and internationally.
The decision follows a recommendation submitted by the Saudi Health Council, in line with its role in strengthening integration among healthcare entities and developing policies and practices that support healthcare quality and patient safety. The Council will approve the regulations governing CBAHI’s provision of accreditation services to healthcare facilities outside the Kingdom.
CBAHI’s​ provision of accreditation services outside the Kingdom represents a significant step toward enhancing the international presence of Saudi expertise and standards in healthcare quality and patient safety. It also contributes to expanding cooperation, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and developing healthcare practices, further strengthening the Kingdom’s role in supporting the future of healthcare regionally and globally.
