Early planning was one of the key factors behind the success of the 1447H Hajj season. Ahead of the pilgrimage, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem, held coordination meetings with medical offices representing Hajj missions to strengthen cooperation and enhance the readiness of healthcare services provided to pilgrims.
The Ministry also organized orientation meetings with international medical missions, including the Indonesian medical mission, attended by the Assistant Minister of Health for Health Services. The meetings introduced the healthcare systems adopted during Hajj and reviewed key operational procedures, including healthcare service pathways and emergency response protocols, helping enhance the missions’ operational readiness and coordination throughout the season.
In addition, a Ministry of Health team visited the Indonesian Hajj Medical Office to review the readiness of its operational plans and medical facilities, while assessing health preparedness before pilgrims arrived. The visit aimed to strengthen coordination and ensure that all health and regulatory requirements were met to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the Guests of Allah.
These meetings formed part of the Kingdom’s integrated efforts to safeguard the health and safety of more than 1.7 million pilgrims before, during, and after Hajj, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in mass gathering medicine and demonstrating the organizational and healthcare expertise that continues to contribute to the success of Hajj seasons year after year.
