Health Holding Company and its affiliated health clusters have distributed blood glucose monitoring sensors as part of the Healthy Hajj Initiative during the 1447H Hajj season. The initiative aims to enhance the safety of pilgrims living with diabetes while improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
Implemented in partnership with the Arab National Bank (ANB), the initiative provides smart glucose sensors and advanced digital monitoring technologies to support continuous health monitoring, reduce diabetes-related complications during Hajj, track blood glucose levels, and enable faster medical response when needed. It also includes health education and training programs, ongoing digital engagement with beneficiaries, and specialized guidance on nutrition, medication, and physical activity during the pilgrimage, reflecting the healthcare system’s commitment to leveraging innovation and smart technologies to enhance the quality of care provided to pilgrims.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with all 20 health clusters, in collaboration with several private-sector organizations. More than 3,036 smart glucose sensors have been provided to domestic pilgrims with diabetes to promote health awareness, encourage safe health practices during Hajj, and improve the overall pilgrim experience through innovative healthcare solutions.
The Healthy Hajj Initiative aims to benefit more than 160,000 pilgrims from across the Kingdom. During its first edition last year, the initiative served more than 123,000 pilgrims and conducted over 224,000 health screenings, supported by integrated follow-up provided by national healthcare teams across the Kingdom’s 20 health clusters.
Health Holding Company is a national healthcare organization that delivers comprehensive healthcare services through 20 health clusters across Saudi Arabia. It implements the Saudi Model of Care, which places people at the center of healthcare delivery, emphasizes prevention before treatment, improves access to healthcare services, and enhances service quality in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
