MoH: Over 1.2 Million Healthcare Services Provided to Pilgrims

The Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Abdulaziz bin Hassan Abdulbaqi, announced that the healthcare system has provided more than 1,206,035 healthcare services to pilgrims since the start of the 1447H Hajj season through the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah. This comes as part of integrated efforts to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, safeguard pilgrims’ health, and support the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030​, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals safely and with ease.
According to the Ministry of Health, 49,931 beneficiaries received services from primary healthcare centers and urgent care facilities, while emergency departments treated 41,782 cases. Outpatient clinics served 14,501 beneficiaries, and 4,901 patients were admitted to hospitals. In addition, healthcare teams performed 29 open-heart surgeries, 251 cardiac catheterization procedures, and 337 other surgical operations.
Medical teams also responded promptly and efficiently to 466 cases of heat exhaustion through an integrated field response system designed to ensure rapid intervention across the holy sites. Meanwhile, the unified 937 Call Center received more than 1,082,628 calls during the season.
The healthcare system continues to deliver high-quality services through proactive planning and an integrated healthcare network, ensuring advanced and safe medical care for pilgrims while reaffirming its commitment to providing the highest standards of healthcare throughout the Hajj season.
