MoH: Over 1 Million Healthcare Services by Dhul-Hijjah 7

The Ministry of Health’s Official Spokesperson, Abdulaziz bin Hassan Abdulbaqi, announced that the health system has delivered more than 1,095,920 healthcare services to pilgrims since the start of the 1447H Hajj season through the seventh day of Dhul-Hijjah. The services were provided as part of integrated efforts to enhance healthcare quality and improve access to medical services, supporting the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030​, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals safely and comfortably.
According to the Ministry of Health, 41,178 beneficiaries received services through primary healthcare centers and urgent care facilities. Emergency departments handled 28,817 cases, while 4,379 beneficiaries visited outpatient clinics. In addition, 4,013 patients were admitted to hospitals. A total of 318 surgical procedures were performed, including 222 cardiac catheterization procedures and 13 open-heart surgeries.
Medical teams also responded efficiently to 28 cases of heat exhaustion through a field-based healthcare system designed to ensure rapid medical intervention across different locations. These efforts were supported by more than 292,585 preventive services that helped protect pilgrims’ health. In addition, the Unified Contact Center (937) received more than 119,995 calls.
The health system continues to operate with high efficiency through proactive planning and an integrated, high-quality healthcare network, ensuring advanced and safe medical care for pilgrims while reaffirming its commitment to providing the highest standards of healthcare throughout the Hajj season.
