The healthcare sector has provided more than 121,626 healthcare services to pilgrims since the start of the Hajj 1447H season through the first days of Dhul-Hijjah. These efforts are part of an integrated approach to enhance the quality of healthcare services and safeguard pilgrims’ health, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and comfort.
According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), 27,019 beneficiaries received services through Primary Healthcare Centers and Urgent Care Centers, while Emergency Departments handled 14,610 cases and Outpatient Clinics served 1,711 beneficiaries. In addition, 2,150 patients were admitted to hospitals. A total of 138 surgical procedures were performed, including 87 cardiac catheterization procedures and 7 open-heart surgeries.
Medical teams also responded promptly and efficiently to 10 cases of heat exhaustion through an integrated field response system designed to ensure rapid response and effective medical intervention across Hajj sites. Meanwhile, the Unified Call Center 937 received more than 11,575 calls.
The healthcare sector continues to implement proactive plans and deliver integrated, high-quality healthcare services, ensuring advanced and safe medical care for pilgrims and reaffirming its commitment to providing the highest standards of healthcare throughout the Hajj season.
