18 May 2026

As part of its preparations for Hajj 1447H, the Ministry of Health (MoH), through its “Healthy Hajj” campaign, published an educational dramatized video across its digital platforms to highlight the efforts of the healthcare sector, introduce the services available to pilgrims, and promote health awareness and preventive practices that enable pilgrims to perform their rituals safely and with peace of mind. The initiative supports the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The video presents the experience of a pilgrim through a creative storytelling approach, highlighting the consequences of not following health guidance, particularly the importance of using an umbrella to prevent heatstroke and heat exhaustion. It reinforces key preventive messages and encourages healthy behaviors throughout the Hajj season.
The initiative is part of a comprehensive awareness campaign implemented by MoH within the integrated efforts of the healthcare sector. It delivers unified health messages that reflect the readiness and efficiency of healthcare services during Hajj, while also explaining how pilgrims can benefit from those services and strengthening public confidence in the healthcare system.
The campaign is built on an integrated communication strategy that includes producing diverse media content across digital platforms, media coverage, awareness billboards, social media engagement, and collaboration with influencers. These efforts aim to expand outreach to target audiences, including pilgrims, citizens, residents, media organizations, and partners involved in the Hajj ecosystem.
The campaign highlights the healthcare sector’s awareness efforts, particularly in preventing heat exhaustion and heatstroke, while promoting healthy behaviors that support pilgrims’ safety and enhance their overall healthcare experience throughout the Hajj journey. These efforts are delivered through a coordinated system in which each health entity contributes according to its responsibilities.
The campaign is implemented through a range of communication products, including videos, awareness designs, text messages, digital content, and media coverage across television channels and newspapers, strengthening the visibility of health messages and unifying the healthcare sector’s media communication throughout the Hajj season.
