The Ministry of Health marks World Health Day, observed annually on April 7, by continuing to strengthen prevention and health promotion efforts through an integrated approach that supports the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under
Saudi Vision 2030. These efforts aim to enhance quality of life and promote preventive health through impactful initiatives and sustainable health programs that drive continuous progress in public health indicators.

The health sector has also contributed to reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases, with deaths associated with these diseases declining by 40%. At the same time, strengthened prevention efforts increased immunization coverage to 97.4% and reduced deaths caused by communicable diseases by 50%.
These achievements have been complemented by coordinated efforts across government entities to promote healthy lifestyles, raising the percentage of adults engaging in physical activity to 59%, reflecting growing public health awareness.
The Ministry of Health continues to advance prevention and public health as strategic priorities, working in partnership with the health sector to achieve sustainable improvements in health indicators and enhance quality of life.
