07 July 2019

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has underlined that those willing to perform the Hajj rituals this year (1440H), both from inside and outside the Kingdom, should adhere to take meningitis vaccine and seasonal flu vaccine, in addition to adhering to the other specific requirements to be met by each country for pilgrims coming from abroad. The MOH advised them to seek doctor's consultation regarding the meningitis and seasonal flu vaccines based on the date of last vaccination.

Moreover, the Ministry reiterated the importance of adherence to the health requirements that must be followed by arrivals to perform Umrah and Hajj. As such, the Ministry has submitted the requirements to Saudi embassies and consulates abroad to act accordingly when granting Umrah and Hajj visas for this year's Hajj.

MOH closely follows up the latest epidemiological developments and monitors developments of diseases at the national and international levels, adding that the MOH's Command and Control Center (CCC) follows up the national and international health status and reviews those requirements, if the need arises.
