MOH Signs MOU with Mashroat Program

​​In the presence of H.E the Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah and Assistant Minister of Economic and Planning and Member of Mashroat Board of Directors, Mr. Khaled Al-Shenaifi the Ministry of Health (MOH) signed today a memo of understanding with the   National Program to Support the Management of Projects in Public Entities "Mashroat". The signatories of the agreement were the Deputy Minister for Supply and Engineering Affairs Eng. Esam bin Othman Al-Jubair and Secretary General of Mashroat Eng. Ahmed bin Mutair Al-Balawi.​

The MOU aims to boost cooperation between MOH and Mashroat, through provision of consulting services and technical support to contribute to raising the efficiency and quality of MOH's projects and maximizing their benefits.

Al-Rabiah confirmed that the MOU is expected to open new horizons in cooperation between MOH and the National Program "Mashroat". "It will support completion of MOH's initiatives to apply the best international standards in project management, implementing latest methodologies and procedures in this field, managing and following up its projects electronically, as well as developing the skills of its employees and qualifying young Saudi staff", he added.

For his part, the Assistant Minister of Economic and Planning said that Mashroat projects aim to raise efficiency and quality of the public entities to implement their projects and develop a flexible environment for efficient and effective project implementation in order to achieve a sustainable impact on economic, social and health development. 

Under this MOU, Mashroat projects will coordinate with MOH to study and evaluate management of current construction projects, to design a proper organizational model and to enable the qualified leaders to manage this modern model. A project management office will be established in MOH to managing its future projects, defining the necessary policies, procedures, processes human, technical and organizational capabilities and applying them in all projects across the Kingdom.

It is worth mentioning that this cooperation comes in implementation of the Royal Decree No (47004) dated 16/9/1439H., pursuant to the Council of Ministers' resolution No (485) dated 16/11/1439H., and amendment No (666) dated 18/11/1439H., the public entities shall establish project management offices to follow up, coordinate and manage their projects, and verify their implementation in cooperation with the program. They shall use a model provided by the program, and follow all procedures and methodologies established by the program in this regard.
