MOH Fines Two Health Institutions SR 150.000 Due to their Irregularities

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved the decisions of the Private Health Institutions' Violations Consideration Committees at Riyadh Health Affairs General Directorate, fining the owner of a factory for disinfectants, detergents and pharmaceutical products SR 100.000, as well as closing the facility for 60 days; due to non-compliance with the Pharmaceutical Installations and Products Law.
 
The decision stipulated that the factory is producing and distributing pharmaceutical products, which are not registered by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, as well as working without obtaining a statutory license.
 
Within the same vein, the MOH has approved the decision of the above-mentioned committee in the Eastern Region, closing and fining a pharmacy pertinent to a dental clinic SR 50.000; due to violating the Pharmaceutical Installations and Products Law and its Regulations, as the pharmacy is working without a statutory license.
 
The MOH has emphasized that it would take all the statutory procedures, including the cautionary closure, towards any health institution that does not comply with the required quality standards of health services; in an endeavor to oblige such institutions to improve their conditions and redress all irregularities observed there, pursuant to the statutory procedures.
