MOH Constitutes a Committee to Investigate the Infant's Issue in Taif

In reference to what has been published in some websites under the title: “Some Nurses Close an Infant’s Mouth with an Adhesive Tape to Stop Crying” at a hospital in Taif, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has constituted an urgent committee, headed by the MOH Director General of Hospitals, to investigate the issue and take the statutory sanctions against those proven to be negligent or violating the medical regulations and norms. The Committee comprises members of the MOH Assistant Agency of Supportive Medical Services, the MOH Assistant Agency for Hospitals, and the MOH Internal Follow-up and Auditing General Department, with participation of the Internal Follow-up and Auditing Department at Makkah Health Affairs General Directorate.
 
It is worth mentioning that the MOH has emphasized its keenness to improve its services and follow up the workflow at facilities; in an endeavor to prevent any shortcomings, meanwhile, taking the statutory actions against those proven to be negligent in serving patients.
