The Director of the Children and Maternity Hospital, Dr. Waleed bin Rashid Al-Aamri pointed out that the hospital is fully up and running for receiving and serving the Hajj performers, and we enjoy serving the Hajj performers which does us credit.
We also participate in the plan of having the inpatient Hajj performersin the Holy Capital's hospitals ascended as part of the convoy of the Health Affairs Directorate in Makkah; in order to complete their Hajj rites.
He further drew the attention to the fact that the Maternity and Children Hospital is the principal referencefor obstetrics and gynecology in Makkah, and after the Hajj season finishes, it is due to receive all the inpatient female cases in the Holy Sites' hospitals; in order to follow up their treatment in the hospital.
He went on making clear that the Maternity and Children Hospital in Makkah is an important medical edifice in service of the residents of the Holy Capital and nearby villages; and the Hajj and Umrah performers seeking the Sacred House (Kaaba) in terms of Pediatric and gynecology and obstetrics specialties.
Within the same vein, he affirmed that since the beginning of the Islamic year 1434h to Dhu al-Qa'dah and on the latest statistics, the hospital saw 7017 birth cases,they ranged between 4627 natural birth cases and 2390 caesarean birth cases.
The birth cases included diverse nationalities, to the effect that the Saudi natural birth cases reached 3535 ones, and as regards the non-Saudi; they amounted to 1092 cases, bringing the total to 4627 natural birth cases.
On the other, the Saudi caesarean birth cases got up to 1809 cases.And as far as the non-Saudis are concerned; they reached 581 caesarean birth cases, aggregating to 2390 cases.
He went on to add that since the beginning of the Hajj season, the hospital received several birth cases of Hajj and Umrah performers; they were aptly dealt with.
Last but not least, he noted that the Hospital's management works strenuously on equipping the hospital with the latest medical devices used in all the hospital's facilities.
This aims at improving on the services provided for the frequenters of thehospital, which works around-the-clock on receiving birth cases,for the hospital enjoys a 621-bed-capacity.
