His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, confirmed that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has kept on honoring every hard worker who puts the service of this country and its citizens on the top of his priorities, adopting the approach approved by our country under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, as well as His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and His Royal Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister, may Allah protect them; so that we can remember a feature of this majestic state; i.e. the feature of loyalty which we have learned from our leaders.

Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah pointed out that there are various ways to communicate with the retirees in order to take advantage of their precious expertise, adding that the Ministry is keen on continuing its bestowal, either by taking their opinions or consultation.

“We will communicate with the retirees in the various fields,” stressed Dr. Al-Rabeeah.

This statement was delivered during the ceremony held at the MOH's Auditorium on Wednesday morning to honor the MOH's retired employees for 1433H and 1434H.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Rabeeah has valued the major role played by all the retirees, saying in a speech delivered to them, “Dear colleagues…On this bright day, we bid a farewell to an elite of our colleagues who had contributed to flourishing the Ministry, and we would like to assure them that this Ministry is theirs,  and the achievements accomplished over years and decades are a normal result for their efforts and hard working, regardless of their positions, as every employee in the Ministry works to achieve a service worthy of the standing of this country and its valued citizens.”

Moreover, Dr. Al-Rabeeah added, “Dear retired colleagues…Although you have left us physically, but you are still supporting us by your spirit, efforts, and the fruit of your continuous efforts, and you will keep on providing the Ministry with your unstoppable consultations and suggestions.”

He affirmed that "the Ministry of Health (MOH) takes the suggestions from all its employees seriously in a way that achieves the public interest, and Allah willing, these suggestions are translated into systems bringing justice. He also extended gratitude and praise for those deserving it, reiterating his thanks for them; wishing that the wheel of development and achievement would not come to a halt in this prestigious Ministry. And they are on developing these health services to get up to the global standards that live up to this highly-elevated country."

He concluded his speech congratulating our governors saying "I avail myself of this opportunity to congratulate all, topped by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and HRH the Second Deputy on a dear occasion to our souls, that's to say the National Day, which we will experience within few days, wishing luck for our country and its leaders and citizens."

For his part, the Supervisor-General of the Employees' Rights General Department, Dr. Fahad Bin Suleiman Al-saidairi said in a speech he delivered that "honoring those men comes as recognition for their efforts which they exerted in the health work marathon during long spans of serious work, and conscientiousness and faithfulness in doing their job tasks, which had a positive impact and may Allah be praised, contributed to developing the health services and advancing the performance levels."

And in a speech delivered by Mr. Ziad Al-khaslan, on behalf of the retirees amounting to 26 ones, he extended their thanks and appreciation to his Excellency the Minister of Health for honoring them, affirming that they will keep frequenting the Ministry and they will provide their experience whenever they are asked by the Ministry. He went on pointing out that this honoring is recognition of the Ministry of Health for their efforts, and loyalty to what they did during their service term."

In drawing his speech to a close, he suggested that the MOH honor its in-service employees, to the effect that it awards whoever has spent ten years and over an appreciation certificate, as well as those who have spent 20 and 30 years. This is in order to encourage them to exert more effort in service of the MOH's objectives.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister of Health, the MOH under-secretaries, and a host of officials.
