Minister of Health Launches the Hajj E-Portal
14 October 2012
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has launched the Ministry's Hajj e-Portal, under the theme: “Health Is the Provision of Hajj”.

He underscored the importance of integration among all health sectors. To that end, this portal has been launched to be a comprehensive source of information of the health services provided for pilgrims by all health sectors supported by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him.

It was shown, by means of the visual display, that health facilities (hospitals, health centers, etc.) are linked to the geographical information on the MOH Portal, thus making all health sectors feasible and accessible to the portal's visitors, and, in turn, making it easy for them to reach those facilities.

His Excellency the Minister of Health, as well as the heads of health sectors participating in the Hajj season (those of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the National Guard, and the Red Crescent Authority), watched the visual display of the portal's content, including the word of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah protect him, expressing the Kingdom's pride to serve the guests of Allah (pilgrims). Besides, the display shed light on the word of His Excellency the Minister of Health, in which he expressed the Ministry's pride to serve pilgrims, which is reckoned a great honor. Working under the theme: “Pilgrims' Health Is our Concern”, the Ministry is sparing no effort to enhance all the health services provided for pilgrims during the Hajj season, and harness its potentials and capabilities to maintain high-quality health services for them, in concordance with its various plans and programs.

The portal contains, also, the health-awareness tips and requirements oriented to pilgrims, as well as the information center, and the Directory of Health Facilities, in addition to various links to vaccinations, how to behave properly when coughing or sneezing, and how to address the common chronic diseases and food poisoning.

In addition to that, the portal touches upon the current news and heated health-associated topics; such as: FAQs on the coronavirus, how infection is transmitted, and how to protect ourselves against it, etc. That's to be added to the Hajj-news icon, and many other links.
