Press Release: Minister of Health Gives Orders to Put the Referral Program into Effect in 3 Months

   Within the framework of the MOH's strenuous efforts to develop its services seeking to provide high-quality healthcare for patients, and maintain their health and well-being, by providing world-class health services to meet their health requirements, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, has given his orders to embark on the application of the Referral Program, meant to carry out referral among the Kingdom's hospitals in an efficient, clear and transparent way. To date, the e-program of the project has been developed, adopted in three regions, and proven success. The program is expected to bring about a momentous paradigm shift in the provision of health services. It shall be applied over the upcoming three months.
 
Within this context, His Excellency the Minister of Health has taken a decision to designate Dr. Khaled bin Abdulrahman al-Hussein as a supervisor of the Referral Program, inasmuch as he is one of the eminent competencies who took part in the preparation of the program. It is for this very reason that he was assigned, besides, an advisor to the minister.
 
Meanwhile, His Excellency the Minister of Health has taken a number of decisions obligating the designation of a number of MOH officials, including naming Dr. Mash'al bin Abdullah al-Mash'al director-general of the Medical Committees and Health Attaché, and naming Ph. Mohamed bin Ali al-Tuwaili'e director-general of health affairs in Tabuk Region, thus taking the place of Dr. Ali bin Maqbul al-Ghamdi who was transferred to Riyadh, for family circumstances, and was assigned, in addition, as an advisor to His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development.
 
These decisions come within the framework of the MOH's policy of the circulation of leadership positions, aiming to give rise to health performance, and invest all the capacities of qualified health cadres, in line with the unstinting efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health to develop its services and improve performance at its facilities; thus providing best-quality health services for patients, and achieving the MOH slogan: “Patient First!”
On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all colleagues for their precious participations in the improvement of health services. He wished for them success in their new positions, and prompted them to do their best for the benefit of the Saudi citizens and residents.
