The Assistant Minister of Health for Health Services, Dr. Mohammed bin Khalid AlAbdulaali, welcomed today at the MoH headquarters in Riyadh the President of the International Council of Nurses, José Luis Cobos.
The meeting explored avenues for joint cooperation and ways to further empower the nursing profession in enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to beneficiaries, in support of the Health Sector Transformation Program objectives under Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at building a “Vibrant Society” with thriving health.
During the visit, the President of the International Council of Nurses was introduced to several leading national models, including Seha Virtual Hospital, where he reviewed the Kingdom’s advanced digital healthcare ecosystem and the range of virtual services delivered to beneficiaries. The visit also included the National Health Emergency Operations Center, which plays a pivotal role in strengthening health sector readiness, enhancing response systems, early warning capabilities, and the management of health emergencies.
The visit reflects the exchange of international expertise and highlights Saudi Arabia’s pioneering experiences in advancing healthcare delivery, empowering national nursing competencies, and expanding impactful partnerships. It further reinforces the Kingdom’s position as an influential and active partner in the healthcare sector globally.
