The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, honored a number of people with visual disabilities in recognition of their active participation and meaningful contributions across various fields, and in support of strengthening the values of empowerment and equal participation among all segments of society. The recognition coincided with World Braille Day, observed annually on January 4.
His Excellency commended the efforts of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities for its role in supporting national efforts to empower persons with disabilities and enhance coordination among relevant government entities.
The healthcare system continues to develop service pathways that support persons with disabilities through a human-centered healthcare model that places people first and is designed around beneficiaries’ needs, delivering services with the highest quality and greatest ease. These efforts align with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a “Vibrant Society” with a high quality of life.
