The Ministry of Health has launched an awareness campaign on the health requirements and obligations for bariatric surgery in healthcare facilities, aiming to raise awareness, strengthen compliance with health regulations, and ensure the safety and quality of healthcare services provided to beneficiaries.
This campaign reflects the Ministry of Health’s commitment to protecting beneficiaries’ health by educating healthcare practitioners and facilities on the importance of obtaining the required licenses to perform bariatric surgeries, adhering to professional scope of practice, and clearly explaining medical symptoms and potential complications to beneficiaries. These measures help ensure the delivery of safe and reliable healthcare and enhance the overall quality of services provided.
These awareness efforts are supported by regulatory inspection tours to verify the compliance of facilities and practitioners with applicable health regulations, including the Law on the Practice of Health Professions, the Executive Regulations of the Health Institutions Law, the Private Health Institutions Law, the Medical Devices and Supplies Law, and the Pharmaceutical and Herbal Institutions and Products Law.
The Ministry of Health has called on all healthcare facilities and practitioners to adhere to approved regulations and rules in a manner that enhances the safety of medical procedures provided, reaffirming its continued efforts in awareness and oversight to achieve the highest standards of quality in healthcare services.
