The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his appreciation for the Cabinet’s approval of the National Institute for Health Research Regulation, underscoring that the decision reflects the wise leadership’s keenness to advance the health research and development ecosystem and to strengthen the sustainability of the healthcare system, reinforcing the Kingdom’s regional and global leadership in medical and scientific research.
The Minister stated: “The establishment of the Saudi National Institute of Health marks a pivotal milestone in the ongoing transformation of the healthcare sector. It fosters a culture of innovation and scientific discovery, supports the creation of a knowledge-based economy founded on medical research and clinical trials, and enhances the resilience and efficiency of the health system. This aligns with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, to build a Vibrant Society that enjoys health and quality of life, and a Thriving Economy driven by innovation toward a more advanced and sustainable future.”
He concluded by affirming that the healthcare ecosystem will continue its developmental journey in close collaboration with the National Institute for Health Research, within an integrated framework that strengthens coordination between research and practice to enhance service quality and achieve a sustainable health system.
