Saudi Arabia, under the guidance of its wise leadership, continues to drive Syria’s health recovery journey, reaffirming its pioneering role in harnessing digital health solutions to serve humanity across borders. This support has gone beyond vision into practice, enabling Syrian doctors residing in the Kingdom to directly treat their compatriots through a digital link between Seha Virtual Hospital and Syria’s Ministry of Health.
The initiative has already achieved remarkable success with two critical medical cases. In the first, a 35-year-old patient suffering from an acute heart attack received timely treatment after Dr. Imad Ahmed Ibrahim, a cardiology consultant with over 20 years of service in the Kingdom, led a joint medical board through Seha Virtual Hospital in collaboration with doctors in Syria, ensuring an accurate and immediate treatment decision.
In the second case, Dr. Hassan Ramadan, an internal medicine consultant with more than five decades of medical practice in the Kingdom, provided an urgent consultation for a Syrian woman in Damascus diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. He developed a comprehensive treatment plan and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Saudi Arabia for enabling him to serve his homeland while practicing medicine within the Kingdom.
This groundbreaking digital integration underscores the strength of Seha Virtual Hospital, recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest virtual hospital in the world, connected to more than 230 hospitals across 10 countries. It also reflects the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, which places healthcare development and digital empowerment at the heart of the national transformation journey.
