The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, and His Syrian counterpart, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, signed today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen health cooperation between the two countries and support the exchange of expertise in digital health.
AlJalajel explained that the agreement aims to build a robust health system in Syria, facilitate access to healthcare services, improve efficiency in virtual healthcare solutions, and strengthen the preventive care system.
The MoU covers several areas of cooperation, including strategic health planning, health system rehabilitation, public health, preventive medicine, health security, curative care, emergency and disaster management, e-health and digital transformation, international health issues of mutual concern, health investment, and the training and development of human resources through the exchange of health training programs, expert visits, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops.
This MoU reflects the Kingdom’s pioneering role in promoting regional and international health cooperation and consolidating its position as a leading hub in virtual medicine and digital transformation, thereby amplifying its contributions to healthcare system development and supporting progress and innovation regionally and globally.
