Health Minister Honors Winners of Ada’a Health Award (7th Edition)

​This evening, the Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, crowned the winners of the 7th edition of the Ada’a Health Award during the annual ceremony held in Riyadh, attended by healthcare leaders, partners, and specialists.

In his opening remarks, the Minister highlighted that the Ada’a Health initiative is one of the leading Health Transformation programs, evaluating 2,700 healthcare facilities across the public, private, and third sectors. The initiative has generated over 70,000 analytical results covering clinical quality, operational efficiency, and patient safety.

AlJalajel noted that healthcare providers within clusters achieved a record of over 11,300 weekly surgeries, compared to just 2,000 weekly surgeries in the first edition—five times the initial figure. This improvement reflects enhanced operational efficiency, sound clinical planning, faster access to services, and reduced waiting lists.

The ceremony announced winners across six specialized tracks aimed at enhancing care quality, strengthening prevention, and improving health experiences for individuals and the community. Al-Ghadeer Center of Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group won first place in the Primary Care Improvement track, followed by Tabuk Health Cluster in second place and Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare in third.

In the Emergency Care Performance track, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare ranked first, followed by the Armed Forces Hospital at King Abdulaziz Naval Base in Jubail, and Jubail General Hospital. In the Maternal and Child Care track, Security Forces Hospital in Dammam came first, followed by Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, and the Maternity and Children’s Hospital – Eastern Health Cluster.

In the Life-Saving Care track, Riyadh Second Health Cluster – King Fahad Medical City took first place in Acute Myocardial Infarction management, followed by the Cardiac Center at King Fahad Specialist Hospital – Madinah Health Cluster, and King Abdullah Medical City – Makkah Health Cluster.

In the Acute Stroke Management category, Madinah General Hospital – King Salman Medical City, within the Madinah Health Cluster, won first place, followed by King Fahad Hospital – Jeddah, Jeddah Second Health Cluster.

King Fahad Specialist Hospital – Tabuk Health Cluster ranked first in Emergency Response Time, followed by King Fahad Specialist Hospital – Buraidah, Qassim Health Cluster, and Dammam Medical Complex – Eastern Health Cluster.

In the Public Sector Healthcare Efficiency track, Riyadh Second Health Cluster took first place, followed by Al-Ahsa Health Cluster and Eastern Health Cluster. In the Private Sector category, Al-Mousa Health Group won first place, followed by Al-Mouwasat Medical Services in Khobar and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group – Al-Takhassusi branch in Al-Rahmaniyah.

In the Public Health and Disease Prevention track, Najran Health Cluster secured first place in Early Detection of Chronic Diseases, followed by Jazan Health Cluster and Dallah Hospitals – Dallah Healthcare Company. In the Smoking Cessation Rate category, Makkah Health Cluster came first, followed by Jazan Health Cluster and Tabuk Health Cluster.

The ceremony also honored outstanding institutions: King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh received the Patient Experience Medal, the Armed Forces Medical Services – Ministry of Defense received the Data Quality and Management Medal, and King Abdulaziz Medical City – National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh received the Employee Experience Improvement Medal.

Since its launch in 2018, the Ada’a Health Award has established itself as a national platform for excellence and innovation, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by fostering a culture of continuous improvement in healthcare and recognizing inspiring models among healthcare professionals and institutions.
