The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, expressed his appreciation for the Cabinet’s recognition of the broad public engagement with the annual National Blood Donation Campaign. The campaign, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may Allah bless him – aims to instill humanitarian values, achieve self-sufficiency in blood and its components, and ensure a safe and sustainable supply to meet the needs of beneficiaries across the Kingdom.
The Minister highlighted that donation rates have surged to four times their initial levels since the campaign’s launch, reflecting the steadfast support of the Kingdom’s leadership and their dedication to fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation as a sustainable societal practice. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, which seek to build a vibrant society characterized by awareness, health, and sustainable quality of life.
He also emphasized that the wide public participation reflects advanced awareness and shared responsibility among citizens and residents, showcasing the Kingdom’s strong values of solidarity. This collective effort has contributed to the campaign’s success, reinforced the concept of sustainable health, and enhanced the efficiency and quality of the nation’s healthcare services.
